Whiteboard Workout
This innovative electronic learning package comprises three CDROMs of content based around interactive activities for KS3 English. Activities are structured around Word, Sentence and Text levels and are matched to the National Framework for Teaching English.
The product is designed to encourage group discussion and interaction with activities that require pupils to think and explain, promoting speaking and listening skills. Ready-built lessons are provided for whole class teaching, plus a range of differentiated activities are provided for starter, main and plenary sessions. The lesson planning tool enables teachers to build and save lessons from activities provided, or by importing their text and images to create additional resources. Printable teacher's notes provide suggestions for differentiation in the classroom and show how assessment can be used to meet learning needs, therefore addressing 'Assessment for Learning' criteria. A search facility enables the user to discover materials using a variety of terms including title, topic, Framework objectives and keywords. Mapping is provided for the National Curriculum Attainment Targets and Nelson Thornes Framework English.
